Mandela Day Donation Drive 2024 at Sakalya Wisdom Early Years

At Sakalya Wisdom Early Years, we believe in teaching our children the value of giving and community service from a young age. This year, on Mandela Day, celebrated on 18th July, we embraced the theme It is in our hands to combat Poverty and Inequality." To mark this occasion, we organized a donation drive aimed at supporting the Zion Foundation orphanage.

In preparation for this event, we requested our wonderful parents to donate pulses such as tur dal, moong dal etc. The response was overwhelming, with parents eagerly participating and contributing to the cause. The collection drive culminated in a heartfelt event at our school, where the children handed over the donations to representatives from the Zion Foundation orphanage.

The event was a beautiful demonstration of our community coming together for a noble cause. Parents, staff, and students all played a part in making this initiative a success. The children, in particular, experienced firsthand the joy of giving and the importance of helping those in need. This initiative aims to instill in them the values of empathy, generosity, and community service, laying the foundation for a lifetime of compassionate action.

We are incredibly proud of our Sakalya community for their generosity and support. This small act of kindness has not only provided much-needed resources to the orphanage but has also set a powerful example for our young learners. Together, we have shown that even the smallest contributions can make a significant difference in the lives of others.
